Analysis Of Front Cover

     Audience Age: 15-30
                             Middle class downwards
                            Both female and male
Use celebrities as way to get the audience’s attention, also using words like ‘special edition’ will also bring the reader in, the colours are pain and simple, adds a bit of humour to the magazine. The audience is age group between 15-30 as it looks like a magazine that would sell to this age group because it has humour and celebrities and music which this age group would be most interested in. Middle class downwards means working class lower than class so on and son on but it stops at middle class because upper class may not interested in music magazines.
The text is selling celebrities or bands, but also at the top it is selling the actual magazine because it says ‘the new NME’ which means it has re- launched itself by putting on a special edition
The tone that the text is selling is that of serious with a little bit of humour as well because on the front cover the picture is that of a serious man holding a dog, this would have continued throughout the magazine. You really can’t take this magazine serious when it has picture of a dog on the front of a music magazine which makes it fun and different.
The text may be giving out what they believe to be simple is the best, as the colours are simple and stand out, and the picture is different because it has a simple but effective point of view for the audience
